I started my career in finance in 2013 at Wells Fargo Bank right here in downtown Salem. As a personal banker, I was able to bring a new perspective to our approach to lending and work closely with our business team on creative financing options. I’ve always held a passion for turning opportunities into solutions.
This led me to the Portland market where I worked for US Bank and created verbiage and strategies to increase lending volume across the metro market. Throughout this journey I met and spoke with several credit analysts and built relationships with them and their team. We developed a new approach to lending where we ask the right questions so we can find the answers we’re looking for.
At this point in my career, I decided to return to school at Oregon State University to focus on Finance. While in Corvallis I also began to take real estate courses in my off time and developed my passion for all avenues of real estate, both personal and commercial. Upon completing my courses, I started my entrepreneurial journey creating a real estate media company. This venture allowed me to gain access to multiple agencies in the Salem area, building relationships with both agents and private investors looking to increase eyes on their locations. I was able to build this company and sell my portion to our main content producer who continued this venture.
Over the last three years while living in Portland I took on a career in insurance. Using my passion for problem-solving and persistent approach to finding the right fit, I was able to rise to a top 5% spot in our company, consistently month-over-month, which afforded me the opportunity to meet with and assist new and experienced agents with new approaches to build stronger relationships. Throughout my journey one thing remains paramount: When there is a will there’s a way. And the job is not done until we find a way.
I grew up in Salem, Oregon and keep close ties to the community. I am on the Board of a local non-profit, Wildcat Boxing, where I have coached hundreds of young men and women, attempting to give them the gifts that boxing gave me – perseverance, discipline, accountability, and self-belief. All major components that make me who I am today, and all major components of why I will always fight for what’s best for my clients.
